MidKent students support AMMF

In the second year of their Business Studies programme, students at MidKent College have to plan and hold ‘real’ fundraising charity events as part of their course.  We’re delighted to report that this year’s students have chosen AMMF as the charity to benefit from their activities.

AMMF’s Helen Morement visited the college, along with AMMF supporter Phil Pointon, to meet Business Studies lecturer, Daniel Horsley and to talk with the enthusiastic students about the work of AMMF and discuss their fundraising plans …

Latest news is that they will be holding a number of events in late May, including a Quiz Night, Car Wash, Fete, sponsored Maidstone to Brighton Bike Ride, and a competition to ‘Guess how many balloons in the car’.

As well as raising funds, the students are determined to raise the awareness of cholangiocarcinoma and the charity with their events, and also intend to encourage as many people as possible to ‘like’ AMMF’s Facebook page.

We wish them lots of luck with this project – and look forward to progress reports as their plans come together!
