AMMF Cholangiocarcinoma Conference 2020
Update: 07 April 2020
We are now in a global health crisis. In the UK, along with the rest of the world, we are facing the enormous problems of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following current UK government guidelines, and to protect the health and safety of all those who attend our annual CCA conference, on 17 March AMMF’s board made the decision to postpone the 2020 CCA Conference, due to be held 13-15 May.
A number of ways to share the conference virtually have been considered but, with so many of our speakers now involved on the COVID-19 frontline here in the UK and in other countries, and with many restrictions in other areas too, it has been decided there are too many problems to attempt this.
Although this is an unprecedented set of circumstances, this is still hugely disappointing to all of us at AMMF and, we know, to many of you.
However, the date for the next AMMF CCA Conference has now been set for 12-14 May, 2021 – please note this in your calendars. Full details coming soon.
If you have cholangiocarcinoma, you are probably especially worried about the coronavirus (COVID-19), as cancer and its treatment can lower the body’s ability to fight infection. There is information on AMMF’s website, with links to the relevant areas of the NHS, PHE and WHO, who are regularly updating their details.https://ammf.org.uk/covid-19-advice/
AMMF CCA Conference 2020
AMMF’s conference is dedicated exclusively to cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) – with international speakers presenting what’s new in treatments and clinical trials, updates on the cholangiocarcinoma research that AMMF is supporting, and more. Plus, there will be plenty of time for networking and one to one conversations with world-class specialists.
