Valerie Clark - Age: 76

My lovely mum, Valerie Clark, passed away on January 2nd 2024. Aged 76

She started getting pains and felt unwell in October '23. After various trips to the doctors and scans she was told on 16th December that she had suspected Cholangiocarcinoma. It had to be confirmed by having a biopsy. But it was too far gone to be treatable. She was admitted to hospital on 17th December because of Jaundice. She died in there 2 1/2 weeks later after contracting sepsis.

It was like a whirlwind. All so quick. She had been fit, healthy and full of life up until then. All we can be thankful for is that she didn't suffer for a long time with no positive outcome.

She was the best, wife, mum, sister and nanny we could all have wished for.

We are forever grateful to have had her in our lives. We miss her terribly and our lives will never be the same. She had so much still to look forward to.

We set up donations to AMMF at her funeral and so far, have raised around £3,000 in her memory. We will continue to fundraise.

This charity has been a tremendous help with all the information and advice.
