Virtual Fundraising Ideas
A virtual fundraising event is the perfect and safe way to keep supporting AMMF during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Organising your own event, means you can get as many of your friends and family involved as you wish, while all staying safe. The list of events is endless, but to get you started, here are a few ideas…
What could I do for my virtual fundraising event?
- Coffee morning
Hold a coffee morning by Twitter Chat or a live stream. Set up a fundraising page and ask people to donate as if they were attending an actual coffee morning. This is a great way to connect with family and friends (and less washing up!).
- Movie Night
You can set up your own virtual movie nights with sites like, Netflix Party, which is another fun way to keep in contact with friends and family. Get the popcorn ready, take a seat and enjoy!
If you or someone in your household enjoys gaming, why not set up your own game-athon live stream, using an online platform like Twitch and ask people to donate.
If you love working out and getting moving, all you need is a live stream where everyone can join in together. Why not ‘theme’ it too with headbands, leotards and leggings, aka the 80’s?
- Virtual/live quiz
Enjoy pub quizzes? Why not host your own virtual quiz? You could live stream it!
- Virtual bake-off
Hold your very own virtual bake off with family and friends and see who can make the best cake. Don’t forget to live stream or share photos so everyone taking part gets to see! You could even nominate a ‘non-baker’ to be your very own Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood and pick the winner from the comfort of their own home.
- Girls Night In
With apps such as Houseparty, you can get your best PJ’s on, grab your favourite tipple and pick your playlist and have your besties around for a virtual Girls Night In, while donating the money you would have otherwise spent on a night out!
- Get creative…
Or you could get inventive and create your own virtual event. The possibilities are endless!
