Catherine Coughlan - Age: 54

On 17th March 2021 we lost our Catherine to this destructive disease. The end came far too quickly, we had so much planned for the time we had left and true to how she lived her life, she always wanted to fit in as much as possible.

Catherine was loved by everyone for her totally selfless view on life, always putting others ahead of herself in everything she did.

Much loved daughter to Rose and Bill Stafford and close sister to Claire and Matthew

We were married for 31 years, she was so proud of her two sons Sam and Ben. She beamed with pride when Sam fledged the nest last year. Ben is always very quiet about his achievements not even mentioning when his hard work was recognised and he was nominated for "Clinical Support worker of the year". Catherine took great delight in telling everyone .

She was a best friend and confidante to many. She touched so many people where ever she went, with her special way of steering things away from her pains and worries and making everyone else feel like they were the centre of the universe. Even in the middle of her last course of chemo she still found time to work , even up to the day before she passed, and keep in touch with her friends, even with only hours to live, without ever burdening anyone with the pain or discomfort she was in.

The £13000 + donated in relatively small amounts is a testament to how many people were impacted by the little blonde whirlwind who always took the time to speak to and love people.

In truth she was the centre of everyone's universe, but especially mine, I miss her so much.
