6th April, and another 48 hr junior doctors’ strike begins. 5,000 more operations and procedures are cancelled, and amongst the general advice being circulated is the following: “Most outpatients clinics will be running, although there may be delays.”

    And

“Patients are reminded that A&E is for serious and life-threatening injuries and conditions only, for example, a loss of consciousness, and very serious state of confusion, persistent severe chest pain or breathing difficulties.
Other options include calling NHS 111 when you need medical help fast but it is not an emergency; considering self-care where possible; visiting your local pharmacy or GP. Any patients requiring general help and advice are encouraged to go to http://www.nhs.uk/staywell.”

What do you think – should the junior doctors go on strike?
