Inaugural CCA-UK Meeting, 07 December, 2018

The inaugural meeting of the Cholangiocarcinoma-UK group took place on 7th December, 2018, in London.

The intention was for this to be a highly interactive, collaborative and open meeting which would lead to meaningful change in the future. Invited attendees were from a cross faculty group of clinicians, scientists and academics with a specialist interest in cholangiocarcinoma from around the UK and who are default members of Cholangiocarcinoma-UK.

The morning sessions consisted of brief talks across sub-specialties on addressing unmet needs in cholangiocarcinoma.  Following lunch and networking, the delegates were divided into six breakout groups for round table workshops to discuss key questions on onco-policy – including the role and future of Cholangiocarcinoma-UK – service development and research/innovation.
