AMMF’s Ballot for London Marathon 2016
As Silver Bond holders with the London Marathon, AMMF has one guaranteed place every five years, and our next place isn’t due until 2020!
However the marathon organisers now hold a ‘Charity Ballot’ for all those charities with no guaranteed places in the intervening years, and AMMF has been selected from this ballot to receive one place for the 2016 event.
We know we have many loyal supporters who have entered the general ballot in the hope that they will win an own place to run for AMMF, so we’ve waited until their ballot results are out so that those who have been unsuccessful can have another chance to get a place – by entering AMMF’s ballot!
AMMF’s London Marathon Ballot
All results from the general ballot should be received by 07 October, so AMMF’s ballot will open that day, remain open until 9pm on Wednesday, 14 October – and will be drawn the following day, Thursday, 15 October. The winner will be notified by email, and announced on AMMF’s Facebook page.
Please note, by entering AMMF’s ballot, should you be successful in gaining the place, you will be committed to the following pledge:
London Marathon 2016 – Pledge to AMMF
If I am offered AMMF’s Charity Ballot place, I understand that the London Marathon place granted to me has cost the charity £330.00 plus VAT and that by starting the London Marathon using AMMF’s place, I will be honour-bound to delivery the pledged amount whether from sponsorship or from my own resources in the event of a shortfall.
I further understand that I will be released from this pledge if I volunarily surrender the place to the charity before 31 January 2016. I agree to return all my sponsorship to AMMF by the end of June 2016. I will be over 18 in April 2016.
To enter AMMF’s ballot, which will be open from 07 October until 9pm on 14 October, please email your name and address to firstname.lastname@example.org with “AMMF London Marathon Entry’ in the subject line.
